Howzit guyz, im working on a Trainer Manager and I need your opinion

Have an app that has a full featured GUI?
or one that runs silently in the background poping up with latest updates?

A little explanation on what we're talking about. We're thinking of coding an app like Gmail Notifier if anyone has used that. Which will basically run in background, check for new trainers and notifies you as they are released. The app will also have a trainer manager of DVT organizing them etc. All of this being very lightweight is my idea.

Cooperb is the one coding it so he thinks a full GUI'sh big app would be better. So...

Develop a program with a GUI, since i don't like programs running silently in the backround. But the gui shouldn't eat my memory like cookies.

What i have done so far:

-Made a functional GUI, (no firemonkey effects as of yet, just to get the bloody thing working)
-got it to read an xml file and check for version's (looks for new or old)
-downloads and unzips the updated trainer (asks the user if he/she wants the update)

User Options:

-Can Select to look for Paid Trainers and/or Free Trainers
-Can select startup opions (Either Registery or Startup folder)
-Can change the location of where it will download the Trainers (ie. Not the TM Directory)

Read ur emails, asked you to email me the pic again, hdd crashed and had to get a new mac, so no files...

It would be more better if you press a key such as F4 and a GUI come up with the commands and it will be executed when clicked and beside it, it will be the hotkey and you can change it if you click on the hotkey. For those non-pauseable games it will have to run while not paused.
