The recaptcha and question/answer challenge has eradicated bots for good but lately, i have been noticing real humans attempting to post backlinks to dick erection products sites in their status updates and profile page since their post gets deleted and doesn't stay for long. Google crawls even the profile stats so they do get a backlink somehow.

To avoid this, all new members upon registering will move to the group "n00b", they will have just posting permissions basically with all features disabled, No PMs,Status Updates, Signatures or anything. Their posts will be moderated as well.

Will be moved automatically to full member when they reach 15 posts.

All members have been moved to that group now because IPB is really nice. Don't worry though, just make one post and you will move to full member group. I can't be bothered to mass move 10,100+ members. Active members won't find it of any inconvenience. It also has the added benefit of stopping pms from strangers.

Thanks.

So pleased to see this is working. Since the implementation of it, 3 spammers with like 6 posts have been caught without me having to rush to delete the post fearing Google may crawl it. One bitch even went on to post 5 posts but stopped right there, lucky cause after 5 posts, the posts aren't moderated anymore and his posts after that wold have appeared. Now i have to change it to an "unknown" number again (well unknown no; between 5 and 15 :D)

I think the US needs to relax their rules a bit regarding prescription medicines, at least we'd start to see less spam posts about such sites hehe. (if you don't understand what i mean, well spam posts usually are about "buy prescription medicines without prescription" sites ads) I mean like say make only those medicines prescription-only which can be abused such as anti-depressants (high celebrity death rate from this, don't need to explain this), sedatives (roofie e.g ;) ) and such.

Anti-biotics and others are pretty much useless since you can't achieve anything than fuck yourself up bad and you only do that when you want to suicide in which case this won't help since you have other options too if you're serious about it.
